Bejamin Filler, who I’ve known since we were kids. He is a poet, philosopher, and professional rock’n’roller. He can joke and rap with the best of them.
Marla Rotsztain. She used to be my next-door neighbour. She is in Urban Planning at Ryerson and works in a cheese shop.
Vanessa Shaver. Writer and filmmaker. She was starting a new job the day after we took this. She has strong views on the Watchmen.
Derek Brunelle. He works at the library and radio station at U of T. He studies History. That’s his red bike.
Alex Molotkow. I met her at the Toronto Star’s workshop for young journalists back in 2006 when she was the arts editor for New College’s The Window. Now she works at The Walrus and does the freelance thing. She even got in there with The New York Times a little while back. Google her for more of her work.
Sydney Liepshutz. She is taking a break from school at Eastern Michigan University to work on her very own pre-prepared foods company, called Syd’s Straight-Up Prepared Foods. She sells them at Sparrow Market in Ann Arbor.
Jessica Cimo. She’s an artist and graduate of U of T. Earlier this year I photographed her performance piece entitled Marinetti’s Dance Party.
Setareh D. She comes from Pennsylvania and works at an NGO that pairs women in developing nations with companies that loan them small amounts of money for business projects. She could probably explain it better.
